Hurricane skins - space in folder name

I noticed skins in certain models of Hurricane I were not available. The PaintScheme folders for these models had spaces. I removed the spaces and the skins were available.

    Folders renamed:
    HurricaneMkI_100octNF
    HurricaneMkI_NF
    HurricaneMkI_100oct

These folders exist in the Steam installation directory and in the user's Documents directory.

    Really?
I had no idea. It is strange that I didn't stumble across this myself during the testing of skins. It just shows how important feedback from users is.
We will look into this and correct the problem.
    Many thanks for your input!
    Cheers

... on second thoughts, it has probably been mentioned before.
    ... an oversight.

There is something odd going on here.

Can people please check. This is what I have on my install:

I have these both with and without a gap in the folder name:
    HurricaneMkI_100octNF
    HurricaneMkI_100oct

But I only have this skin folder with a gap in the name:
HurricaneMkI_NF (this is what I have: Hurricane MkI_NF)

We will need to delete the ones with gaps in the name from the game AFTER moving the skins to the correctly named folders. It was an oversight not to remove them before.
It is strange though that we have missed renaming the last one I mentioned: HurricaneMkI_NF.

    [QUOTE=major_setback;377083
I have these both with and without a gap in the folder name:
    HurricaneMkI_100octNF
    HurricaneMkI_100oct[/QUOTE]

If you correctly rename the skin folders in \Documents\...\PaintSchemes\Skins, a copy of the folder with the wrong folder name will reappear when you next run the game because it is 'missing' and gets reloaded.

Currently I have these Hurricane folders:

    Hurricane MkI_100oct
    Hurricane MkI_100octNF
    Hurricane MkI_NF
    HurricaneMkI
    HurricaneMkI_100oct
    HurricaneMkI_100octNF
    HurricaneMkI_dH5-20
    HurricaneMkI_dH5-20_100oct
    HurricaneMkI_FB
    HurricaneMkI_NF

Re: Hurricane skins - space in folder name

I did not have gapless versions of these folders until I renamed them in both \Steam... and \Documents...
    Hurricane MkI_100oct
    Hurricane MkI_100octNF
    Hurricane MkI_NF

Perhaps major_setback and Bonditaria, you had gapless when you locally corrected these in the past? Does the creation date of the various folders offer you a hint?

Re: Hurricane skins - space in folder name

I think I found out what happened.
We overlooked deleting the incorrect Hurricane skin folders.

When I submitted the corrected Hurricane folders I missed out the HurricaneMkI_NF.

But I need something checked to see if I am correct:

Can anyone please tell me if you have a skin folder for the tropical version of the Br20? This should have been submitted along with the Hurricane folders. If anyone doesn't have it (tobruk_BR-20M-Trop) then
I can resubmit all the Hurri and Br20 folders again. (I'll probably do so anyway, as it seems some people might be missing some folders).

Please only look in the Steam folder
Steam/steamapps/common/ IL-2 Sturmovk Cliffs of Dover Blitz /paintSchemes / skins

    Cheers

Re: Hurricane skins - space in folder name

Major_setback, I do not have tobruk_BR-20M-Trop in my Steam skins. Thanks for looking into this.

    Hi major_setback,

please check also Wellington skin folders.
I think some of them are not correct too.

There is no folder for Wellington Mk.Ia in both Skins folders.
I was trying some names and "WellingtonMkIA" worked for me.

There are two folders for Wellington Mk.Ic there - "WellingtonMkIC" and "tobruk_WellingtonMkIC_t".
It seems the game uses the latter for Wellington Mk.Ic but I guess this name is not correct.
Should it not be rather "tobruk_WellingtonMkIc"?

The folders for other Wellington versions look correct but I have not tried if they work.

    Josef
