    Hardware-Accellerated GPU Scheduling

I stumbled across this Windows 10 feature and feel like my 4K picture is significantly improved. I didn't even know it existed.

    Windows Desktop/Right Click/Display Settings/Graphics Settings/Hardware-Accellerated GPU Scheduling-ON

    Hope this helps someone else.

    Thanks Baffin,

    Will give it a crack.

This is what Dr Google says.

Is GPU acceleration good for gaming?

If you have a powerful and stable GPU, enabling hardware acceleration will allow you to utilize your GPU to its full extent in games and all supported use cases. ... You'll have a much smoother experience with that application after enabling hardware acceleration.12 Apr 2021

Was checking this out for my 960ssc(I know, I'm living in the stone age) but it seems you will need a 1000 series or better for this to work. More info here

Perhaps of no importance, but this article references Windows 11... I suspect is the same for Windows 10. I have a feeling that the Bitcoin miners may have discovered this method to enhance power through the GPU and Microsoft picked up on it for the rest of us. I feel that my gaming is much smoother with this feature enabled.

FYI: Bitcoin hasnt been mined on a large scale on GPUs for many years now. All commercial mining is performed on ASIC rigs nowadays.
Alternative cryptos, such as Etherum, are still mined using GPUs though.

Looks like it works with Windows 10 and 11

    From the link....
While this feature debuted with Windows 10 May 2020 Update, it still comes disabled in Windows 11. Also, your computer needs to have an NVIDIA (GTX 1000 and later) or AMD (5600 series or later) graphics card with the latest graphics driver.
