Drill down through folders where you installed your steam folder, mine is on my D drive, Steamapps/Common/IL2-Cliffs of Dover Blitz. Scroll to bottom in the folder and select the Launcher exe then select Add
Select High Performance and then click on the save button.
This should depending on what your dedicated GPU is, compared to the CPU onboard GPU, dramaticallyincrease your FPS in game. I went from 40 FPS on medium to 140+ on medium and now run Very High defaults in CLOD and get 55 to 70 low down and 140 plus at altitude. Quoted FPS was at 1440p 2560 x 1440 resolution. Obviously FPS would increase if I ran 1080p instead, but the game looks great and is super smooth. Not yet tested with more than 4 people on server though.
So my new laptop, ASUS ROG STRIX G15 Advantage edition runs a Ryzen 9 5800 and an RTX6800M 12gb GPU with an upgraded 32gb of system ram. and 2 high speed M.2 SSD with a 165hz 1440p monitor.
This may also work if you have multiple GPUs but are experiencing low FPS, can't confirm but worth a look.
