    Thrustmaster's new TCA Yoke

There are a number of reviews about this new yoke showing it in action flying a passenger jet. I havent come across any where the reviewer is flying a warbird.

I have had pretty much all consumer grade yokes over the years. None had a pendular motion like this yoke.

Given all flight sim warbird that had a yoke, to my knowledge were of the pendular variety. I am waiting for someone to say to the contrary I went out purchased the TCA yoke when it came on special the other day.

At $1000 Australian, it needed to be on special for me to have a crack.

Anyway, flying about in a Wellington at present it just incredible. Totally immersive. The pendular, rather than a push pull is totally a different flying experience, and smoothness is 10/10.

The throttle has not fair so well in reviews, but I find it very good.

Looking forward to flying the other aircraft to see how they feel.

FYI: Today, $1000 AUS equals $728 USD. That seems to be what high-end controllers are going for these days.

    Congratulations on hitting the lottery!

EDIT: Yoke: $500; Throttle: $150 USD at Amazon today. (Yoke includes 2 axes which can be throttles)

    Thrustmaster prices are eye watering.

Arduino board, soldering iron and a shed... a few hall effect sensors....

(that said I bought a lot of my stuff... high end... and its epic)

It's all based on roughly the same boards though.

You'd be surprised what you can knock up in a shed.

    EDIT:

That is NOT what I meant.

Wow....that looks one hell of a yoke Pattle, and I can only marvel and imagine what immersion that must bring to the operator,it has beautiful aesthetic qualities too.Thrustmaster certainly have created a beauty here......only wish they sold these separately to the throttle,if that was the case I'd be seriously interested in buying one.

    Very nice sir......very jealous

    Thanks Meaks,

My plan is to sell the throttle to offset the cost, as I dont need it. Must say though it is as smooth as butter.

Was using it for the 4K video. Great for flying bombers with
