Yes he became quite a celebrity after this series because of that and his friendly northern 'salt of the earth' personally. He was a staple in my house when I was growing up, right up until my mid 20's when unfortunately he passed. It always warms me up watching his programmes.

This reminds me of those men in the late 20s raising those high buildings in New York. One Friday evening July 1975 I had a great night with my cousin Ronny and his girl friend at the playland in Vancouver. One of the rides that we went on was the turning room that went up about 200 feet and back down. Ronny wouldn't look out the window lol Cindy and I had no problem at all.
