CoD Blitz RAF campaign mission win conditions

    Hi guys,

I'm playing the stock RAF campaign and have had several missions where there seems to be no way to actually win. Mission 12, the recon over Calais - I fly through all the waypoints and my wingman tells me we're done and heads for home, suggesting a race. We land, and get the 'press Esc' prompt, but the mission is a failure. Same goes for the Blenheim escort mission, although that may be to do with me/us not killing enough enemy fighters and/or protecting enough Blenheims? Is there a way to check victory conditions for these missions? I have no files in my campaign folder, seemingly.

    Thanks

The problem is that briefing of the stock campaign's (Cliffs of Dover and Adler Tag) are more poor than these campaigns.

Neither the SP gameplay mechanics of the game deserve much attention by developers, so nothing inform you that you meet the mission goal.

Anyway the briefing boring chit-chat dialog say:

"I have a camera. You know I like taking pictures. I could take it along and snap a few photos."

"Well check out the Calais docks for signs of an invasion fleet, and then fly a bit east where the Germans appear to have a fighter field."

So look that the goal is guide your wingman for "photograph"* the invasion barges in Calais and then the nearest airfield, perhaps Calais-Mark.

But, in flight the boring chit-chat dialog say:

    ""Blast_Is_that_what_I_think_that_is_Is_that_an_RD F_station_We");

So looks like that your wingman need photograph too a kind of antenna.

No idea if the wingman say if he achieve the objective.

*CloD don't have a "photograph" mechanic like in RoF or IL-2:GB, don't remember well, but neither on par with the SP mechanics of the old IL-2:46.

A advanced mission maker can overcome this with C++ scripts, but seem that these are on vacations when the stock campaign was made.

It's a problem with a lot of the old campaigns.
Flying one of the Hun In The Sun RAF campaigns, completed the mission brief, landed safely back at Croydon only to be told that I had died. Well no one seemed to notice.....
Best measure of mission success is if you complete the mission brief and make it home in one or several pieces, still loosely connected.
Getting through a mission without taking a hit in the engine from the AI is worthy of "mission successful".
CLOD single player really needs a pilots logbook as well.

Alternative to C++. For Cliffs of Dover Campaign:

Open the following file: \documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\mission\campaign\bob.campaign_gb.state.ini

Advance the battleIndex number by 1. Congratulations, you have declared yourself successful and moved onto the next mission!

This little workaround also helps when you accidentally restart a campaign instead of moving on to the next mission. I know this the hard way. There are other ini files for other campaigns, if you've started them, so should work for others as well.

As I did, just fly mission 12 until you take off, exit from the mission then hit next to take you to mission 13...
