    Bomber AI problems

    Hi Devs

    for the next Update some AI updates planned?

    most need is Bomber formations fly (Waypoint and bombing) the AI brake out Formation, it is a very old bug and
    group bombing with Human Leader

    When you program the mission... are you adding waypoints such that the bomber formation has the opportunity to fly straight and level and at a consistent altitude prior to bombpoint?

    Avoid changes or altitude or turns too close to bomb point.

    i add some Waypoints exacly heading north and fly self with Autopilot, the AI Wingman can`t hold the position.

    Looks like you are going too fast for them?

    For 1000 meters increase in altitude, set 4 minute waypoints for fighters (equivalent 4.175 ms climb)

    For 1000 meters increase in altitude set 8 minute waypoints for bombers (equivalent 2.0875 ms climb)


    These settings should allow the players to keep up with the AI as well as allowing the AI to climb normally with achievable performance. Speeds in level flight should allow accurate bombing.

    If you go to accelerated game speeds coming up to a bomb waypoint, the AI will often have a problem.

    You should be at normal speed prior to the waypoint at which you start the bomb run.

    of course I do some fly without time speed.



    i make some test`s same Mission

    He111 H2: Formation troubled
    Wellington Ic: Formation good

    so it is the plane Type who have problems with the Formations, can you test it?

    I would suggest you create a second air group with just one bomber that has the same waypoints. That way you can fly with the formation and bomb with them but you won't be making them adjust their positions within the formation to follow your lead.

    Ju88, Ju87 and Me110 hold the formation, maybe there is a He111 AI Problem, can your Team check it?

    will this fix in the next version?
