    Hi pete,

nice screenshots, even if the Hurricane version (Rotol 100oct) is not quite the right machine for the skin. The original Hurricane L1679 (Flt/Off Paul Richey), was a very early version with a two-bladed propeller. The Hurricane DH 5-20 would have been more suitable

Hi Pete n Larry.......Paul Richey...his book 'Fighter Pilot' was possibly the very first aviation biography I ever read. I was about 15 at the time and it made a huge impression on me! Back then, in the top 60's, the Second World War was only 20 years before and was still very much in people's awareness...... and all us young lads could identify ANY WWII aircraft put in front of us!

I was dead jealous of how cool he looked in that flying jacket, too. I wonder if I've still got the book. It was a paperback I read. maybe it's time to read it again?

    Great pics, Pete! Salute!
