Thanks for the vids, at some point of time I really have to try this campaign.
Flying really low with the Beta is big fun, with a 4k monitor it looks just gorgeous.
Your reasoning about the low fuel for the 109s sounds solid but I'm not sure it works in game for single player missions, because they don't have to come all the way from France.
If the missionbuilder decided to have them spawning in just above your airfield with 100% fuel they can follow you all the way to Manston and back again.
Another thing you luckily escaped: those white crosses at the beginning of a landing strip do have a damage model!
If you hit them while landing or taxiing, you will blow up, so be careful to avoid them.
