New V3 Desk Mount Trim module

New V3 Desk Mount Trim module should be available this weekend. Cosmetic changes to the chassis mainly, but the main thing is that they will be available with a 4-Encoder "Sidecar" module, so you don't have to DIY your extra digital inputs.

    Looks great Kendy

One suggestion: for the trim wheel indication marks, I would suggest that the central mark indicator stay white (neutral: neither trim up nor trim down), for the nose up indication marks maybe blue, for the nose down indication marks maybe red. Just a thought

I took delivery of my V3 Elevator Trim with 4-Encoder SideCar today. Plugged in and working in no time.

Having 3d printed a few things on an entry level printer I am more than pleasantly surprised at the quality. It is a very solid and appears to give super accurate and fine control. The rotaries are a handy bonus.

The only thing I might add are the rotaries have a push function but no switch enabled. It can be quite handy for things like instrument lighting to have toggle in addition to increase/decrease. Not a quibble, just feedback for possible development if it is possible with the controller.

The microcontroller I'm using only has 9 inputs, so 1 analog and 8 digital. Not enough to add the push-button function.

    Understood.

The geared setup works really well. I had tried an Arduino controller with analog rotaries but they were far too sensitive. This works like a charm and feels very immersive. I am flying in VR and locating the trim wheel is easy right from the start.
