    Server rotation

    Hi I would like to organise a fly out with my group the Flying Tin Cans for next Wednesday (8th). I will look at a 19:00 start time. I just want to see if the ATAG server resets the map at certain times. It will be a long-ish flight and don't want to spawn with less than an hour left before the map ends.

    Thanks

    Hi PK........yeeess! I can see that the map finishing, just as you get airborne, would be a bit of a .......passion killer! (Sorry! Cring!)

    I think once he becomes aware of your request, ATAG_Snapper will agree to 'turn' the map at 19:00 so you have it running for maximum duration. However it might be a good idea to post here which time zone you are in. Is that 19:00 UK time?

    I hope your fly-in goes well. Don't be surprised if a few other pilots turn up. A crowd often draws....a crowd! Good luck.....and Salute!

    Re: Server rotation

    Thanks for the reply guys. I'll have a chat with Snapper. Don't know how many we will have. I fly with the bomber squadron in FTC so we'll be taking Wellingtons or Blenheims. We would very much appreciate an escort and some opposition.

    Brilliant, PK...this sounds like a lot of fun!

    We will spread the word amongst our own Wimpy Squadron and see if we can get you some support. I'm fairly confident that when the Blues all notice that 'something's afoot' they'll be 'in' like flints! See you next week! Salute!

    Re: Server rotation

    Hi PK,

    Easily done; I just need to know your Time Zone. I can set the map to start, say, 5 minutes (or earlier) before your appointed time so no one is waiting around.

    Is there a particular map you have in mind? All of the Tobruk maps have Wellies, but only a couple of the Channel maps do. Let me know and I can set it up for you right away and confirm it back here in this thread.

    Hi killer87 it s a very Good idea to organize an event like this. I m really sure OBT squad can join Whit big pleasure. 19h00 GMT is little bit Early for us but we can adapt ourself. For a maximum of fun, every body probably need a small briefing to know where take off and escort or organize patrole to try to intercept... hope to see you in the sky for à moments of fun (all apologies for my english, not my language)

    Re: Server rotation

    The Team Fusion #3 Server (which has Wellingtons, the ATAG Server runs Blitz which does not) is set to start the Circus Time Map on Wednesday, February 8th at 1845 hrs GMT. This 15 minutes gives folks a chance to read the Briefing, log into the server, and even get their aircraft warming up.

    Good luck to all!

    Cheers,

    Snapper

    Here is the Circus Time briefing for both Blue and Red:

    [Army Red]
    <Name>
    June 1941 Red
    <Description>
    Circus Time!

    June 1941 Red

    The RAF is now on the offensive conducting circus raids into occupied France. The night bomber war is ongoing with both sides conducting nightly attacks on a range of different targets. New aircraft variants have entered service since the BoB and the fighter fight is going ever higher as performance improves.

    To win Red must score 150. Circus type targets are available in northern France and bomber type targets in the Rouen-Le Havre area. Some targets can be destroyed by strafing or single /small number of bomber payloads. Points as follows

    (a) Axis shipping convoy (CQ 56) bound for Dunkirk: 10
    (b) Axis convoy sheltering in the mouth of the Somme (BZ25): 10
    (c) Axis desert pre-deployment camp (CK24): 30
    (d) He 111s at Tramcourt preparing to head east: 30
    (e) Axis fuel dump at Licques (CE38): 20
    (f) Hazebrouck railyard (CM37): 30
    (g) Abbeville industrial park (CC23): 30
    (h) Rouen industrial complex (BR8): 40
    (i) Point Audemer industrial park (BJ6): 30
    (j) Creil D20 assembly factory (1 Welly bombload): 50

    Spit Vbs have been placed kinda/sorta in historical location as per the Biggin Hill Wing. Canterbury has a range of other aircraft including Tomahawks which were still in-theatre in June 1941, albeit they didn't fly in the Circus raids.
    [Army Blue]
    <Name>
    June 1941 Blue
    <Description>

    To win Blue must score 150. Tip and run jabo type targets are available in England and bomber type targets in the Salisbury - Reading area. Some targets can be destroyed by strafing or single /small number of bomber payloads. Points as follows

    (a) Allied shipping convoy (BV54) heading to the Thames: 10
    (b) Allied shipping convoy sheltering at Camber: 10
    (c) Allied train at St Mary's Bay (BQ43): 20
    (d) Allied train at Hastings: 20
    (e) Allied desert pre-deployment camp (BM50): 30
    (f) Reading factory (AP52): 40
    (g) Salisbury Industrial Park: 30
    (h) Harwell Spitfire assembly factory: 50

    Bf109 bases are kinda/sorta based on historical locations of JG2 bases as per the internet with some modifications made for MP playability.

    Navigation beacons are available at Theville (ch: 302), Crepon (304), Fecamp (306) and Bologne (308)
