I can't seem to bailout of my 109. I blow the canopy and that flies away fine just like Cliffs does but then I just sit there after hitting ctrl E or the key on my joystick that I mapped for it. Do I need to take my straps off or something?

Right Ctrl J to pop the canopy.
Ctrl e to bail.
Check your key bindings to confirm.![]()
Everything seems to check out as you say and that's the way it was..I'll try it again![]()
Ok after going tap tap tap tap tap on E I finally got out lolol ....Thanks Dauntless![]()
You need to hit the bail out key / button three times to make the pilot hit the silk.
I think it comes from the modern day ejection procedure order, "Eject, Eject,Eject", to make sure there are no little accidents....
Maybe a jet jockey can confirm?

On my system, reconfigured keys.
Ctrl J - jettison canopy and Ctrl e - bail works for German planes.
On English planes, open/slide, h on mine, canopy back and Ctrl e to bail.
Ctrl e e e, has never worked for me.
You got it figured out for you so good on ya!![]()
also can't seem to be able to bail out
