How do FFB joysticks behave then, does FFB work under Win11, especially the MS Sidewinder FFB2?

Are there any experiences/solutions?

Does anyone use Win11 with an FFB-Joystick, specifically even a Miscrosoft Sidewinder FFB2, and can report anything about the FFB?

Hi Amarok,

I plugged in my MSFFB2 Sidewinder2 stick and it works normally in Windows 11.

After ensuring that Windows 11 "sees" the stick in "Set up USB Controllers", assign the axis normally in the ingame Controls GUI (or alternatively the Joystick Wizard), please ensure that your conf.ini file in 1C Softclub has the following lines:

[rts_joystick]
FF=1

Be sure to hit "Save" before exiting conf.ini

If FF=0 then forcefeedback will not be activated ingame.

Actually I use Win10 64bit, but in near future comes Win11.

So you already know all about my Words of Wisdom above.

I found the transition from Win 10 64-bit to Win 11 to be painless. Assigning output (speakers/headphones) and input (microphones) can be a bit cludgy when dealing with multiple software (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Teamspeak, etc etc) and devices (sound system speakers, laptop speakers, AirPods, plug in Apple earplugs, etc etc)…but most players don’t need to switch around this crap on a daily basis anyway.

Keep us posted on how you do with Win 11.
