    Gladiator II - Fuel cock / start-up

    Heya 8~)

Decided it was time to learn the Gladiator, but having issues with start-up.

If I set the fuel cock to 'Gravity' (per manual), I get nothin' - set to 'Main' & she fires pretty much first time.

Tried to find a copy of pilot's notes online - failed, but did find this :

    Gloster Aircraft since 1917

Am I doin' it wrong? Correction needed?

    TIA
What did you do in the war, daddy? How did you help us to win?

Circuits 'n' bumps 'n' turns, laddie, and how to come out of a spin..

You must take more than 79% fuel or you will not have enough in the gravity tank to start the engine. Less than that you can start on main tank as you have discovered.

ASUS TUF Gaming A15 FA507NV, AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU, 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM, 16 GB DDR5 RAM, 512 GB SSD, Windows 11 Home 23H2, VPC MongoosT-50 Throttle, VKB Gladiator Pro, MFG Crosswind, Wheel Stand Pro, EIZO CS240, Track-IR 5

Teehee - first circuit completed.. sorta

One of the rare occasions where landing was far less frightening than take-off

Good! If you have Desert Wings you might enjoy the RAAF campaign "Operta Aperta, 1940-1941" flying the Gladiator in the desert...
