Blitz over Southampton part 3, Wednesday, june 7, 1900 GMT

    All pilots are welcome

    This mission requires only Blitz.

    Briefings for both side

    RAF

    August 12, 1940.

    11.00 in the morning.

    SCRAMBLE!!!

    Gentlemen,
Yesterday we had two Luftwaffe bomber attacks, thanks to your courage and your determination we were able to repel the enemy.
Notably the second wave of heavy bomber Ju 88, according to our information none of them managed to return safe in France.

Unfortunately, despite your sacrifices, enormous damages has been inflicted in Portsmouth and Southampton sector.

Our radar station has just detected a formation regrouping in Cherbourg sector AG 15.2
Probably a group of bf109 B from Zerstorergeshwader ZG 2, it's a new version of the German fighter that they have just converted into a fighter bomber, escorted by Bf 109 from jagdgeschwader JG 2.
We have no idea of the capabilities of this new version of the Bf 109.

We believe that the Germans have understood the importance of our radar system.
Protect at all costs the Niton and Ventnor radar station.

You must take off again immediately and return to the battle.

Stop them before they can reach the coast.
Organize coastal patrol and interception raid over the Channel.

    Many vital objectives to protect.

    Niton radar station AM 34.8

    Ventnor radar station AO 35.1

    Southampton docks AK 41.9

    Portsmouth harbor AP 39.8

Tangmere AU 40.9, Westhampnett AU 40.7 and Ford AW 40.2 airfields

    Winchester munitions factory AM 45.1

    Petersfield military base AS 45.5

    Available aircraft

Spitfire Ia (100oct), Hurricanes I (Rotol 100oct), Beaufighters I-F No 602 squadron at Westhampnett AU 40.7

Spitfire Ia (100oct), Hurricanes I (Rotol 100oct), Beaufighters I-F No 607 squadron at Tangmere AU 40.9

Spitfire Ia (100oct), Hurricanes I (Rotol 100oct), Beaufighters I-F No 23 squadron at Ford AW 40.2

the radar menu work TAB 7 1 give you the position of ennemy planes relative to your position if you are close enought.

    Luftwaffe.

    August 12, 1940.

    11.00 in the morning.

    Comrades,

Today we are launching another raid on Southampton sector.

Yesterday was an hard day for both sides.
We managed to drop our bombs on many objectives and inflict heavy damage to the enemy.
But we lost too many planes, particulary the Ju 88 which were decimated after dropping their bombs.

The highest authorities blame the fighter pilots.
It was therefore decided that the new version of the Bf 109 Jagdbomber would be tested today.

Jagdbomber and escort fighter will rendez vous at 1000 meters at 11:20 in the morning above Cherbourg AG 15.2

Stay grouped and keep as fast as possible, drop your bombs on the objectives, then force the RAF pilots into combat with you and put them out of action.

You must shoot down as many enemy fighter as possible.

    The Aldertag is near...

    Many targets in Southampton sector

    Niton radar station AM 34.8

    Ventnor radar station AO 35.1

    Southampton docks AK 41.9

    Tangmere airfields AU 40.9

Excellent news, Polak! I will be there and, with a bit of luck Dazza will be able to make it, too! Happy Bunnies!

Not so the Blue pilots who, according to rumour, are even now fitting huge sheets of plate armour into their cockpits! Salute!

YES !! I will indeed be able to attend this time.

Barring a power outage, internet outage or general end of times event.

Fingers X'd for none of the above.

    Thanks Emmet,

I think you have a good hit on him, Snapper can maybe confirm that

Black 57 OBT~Voss, white 17 Amarok came to free you in your dogfight with Marlow

it gave us a few minutes of rest to be able to drop our bombs, not enough for RTB

Great job red pilots, you were very aggressive and left us no chance.

But we will be back Wednesday

    Ha ha.

Bombers were all destroyed, it says in the briefing. Any Stukas over the UK will be outside the scenario and the RAF should just ignore them.
