ADLERTAG EVENT 2 -
SATURDAY OCTOBER 21st
AXIS V ALLIES SERVER
19.00 GMT
1, The black heart of Nazi Germany.........Nuremburg Stadium, Germany.......August 13th, 1940
The Nuremburg Stadium was once more filled to capacity. On the concrete podium, general's batons vied for position with SS Guards, elaborate insignia and numerous fluttering banners and flags. In front of the podium, thousands, standing rigidly to attention, waited with scarcely controlled excitement, for the great man to arrive.
They did not have long to wait. A ripple surged through the crowds as the Fuhrer stepped forward to the concrete podium. Trumpets blared a greeting as Hitler stood before the microphone and, with his arms gripping either side, surveyed the crowds before him.
'Volk des großen Deutschen Reiches, ich bringe Euch Neuigkeiten von der Front! This morning der forces of our gallant Luftwaffe attacked Kent and der south east of England causing great damage. Ve know zat RAF airfields at Eastchurch and West Malling ver badly hit unt factories int Ashford wer alzo damaged. How do ve know zis? Because zum dumkopf called Polak published it int the ATAG Forum for all to zee! Ve don't need to parachute nuns into Engaland ever again. Ve can read it all in the ATAG Forum!
Hitler clapped his hands, as the stadium rocked with the laughter of four hundred thousand loyal Nazis - the sound louder than the start up of several Daimler-Benz!
'Great bravery was shown by der Blue team....er.....I mean, der Luftwaffe..... unt I would like to mention Major Noofy....... or should I zay newly promoted Oberstleutnant Noofy....... who singlehandedly destroyed three British tankers in Folkstone Harbour! Huzzah'
Hitler paused and smiled as a huge wave of cheering rang out around the stadium. Finally, he raised his hand and the stadium fell silent once more.
'In honour of Noofy's achievement, I haf ordered a little zurprise.'
At this, Hitler paused once more and turned his eyes skywards. Right on cue, the assembled 109's of 9./JG 52 and JG 4 roared over the stadium at what seemed head height!
In the leading aircraft, Oberst Meyer looked down at the cheering crowds:
'Eeeh,' he sighed,'that'll be a grand sight, right enough! By 'eck!'
Either side of him, 9./JG 52 Mindle and J-Hat wondered, for the umpteenth time, why their commanding officer was speaking in a Yorkshire accent? Perhaps the war was beginning to 'get to him' after all!
'Reet,' growled Meyer, 'I've 'ad nowt t'eat all day! Let's get 'ome for us dinners!'
(to be continued!)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Will 9./JG52 ever make it 'ome......sorry....home, for their dinners? And will they actually get back to the Pas de Calais in time to take part in Saturday's Event?
Will Noofy score another hat trick of tankers..... or can the Reds...... remembering October 21st is the very day we 'dished' the French and Spanish at Trafalgar (of Blessed memory!) summon up their inner (and outer) Heroes and so Save the Day?
Will you be there to help them?
We very much hope so...... the more the merrier! HUZZAH!
