Battle of Britain 1940 - request for server with map of red and blue side.

    Hello.
I see there are several servers, including ATAG Axis vs Allies public server ~5.0. Last time I entered this server with the IL-2 Sturmovik ClOD-Blitz version of the game, I found myself on the map when there was total darkness. And how to fly there.

It may be worth developing one good, playable historical map Battle of Britain 1940 from that event for both sides red and blue with dynamic front line and objects on the map to destroy airports, planes vehicles, artillery. Il-2 Sturmovik: CloD -Blitz gives wide possibilities of gameplay.

At the beginning, you need to establish a plan for creating such a map. What such a game should look like and what it should consist of. I know it may not be easy, but many heads are better than one - there is strength in numbers.

    1. Assumptions
    a). Mode- DOGFIGHT (Red&Blue)
    b). Fixed time - day 13-14

This realistic simulator IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover - Blitz refers to the events of 1940, which went down in history. And it is worth creating a certain atmosphere reflecting those times.

True events described in the book author ARKADY FIEDLER - Dywizjon 303. Based on this book, films about the 303 Squadron were made.

Hi. We've been there already. The golden age of dynamic campaign server in CloD was when Storm of War was a thing. Today the best 24/7 campaign you can have is a TWC campaign server. A great server too, just not so many players nowadays. Currently it is "TWC SON OF KHAN CAMPAIGN - BoB, 1940" but rumors say they are planning to start Tobruk dynamic campaign soon.

Check that forum for planned events. Thanks to OBT and other guys, there are plenty of them scheduled in near future https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.c...play.php?f=475

I see you shared some historical info. In my experience you can't have "historical dynamic campaign". It is either historical or dynamic
By this moment I'm aware of only two historical online campaigns, but both are going in BoX. Those are Flying Tin Cans (FTC) group with "The Other Guys (Stalingrad 1942)" historical campaign and Air Combat Group (ACG) with "Turning The Tide (Channel 1943)" historical campaign. I as part of FTC Battle of Britain campaign team can say, that we are currently working on creating a historical Battle of Britain campaign for Cliffs of Dover BLITZ. But it will happen only some time after VR update released. So, this is a plan for distant future.

    Hi FTC_Rostic

FTC_Rostic there are few players because there is little going on on the maps, remember the old IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 and the "Warbirds" server. It was a server where you could always meet groups of pilots from different time zones who performed specific tasks. I wrote about these tasks in the assumptions of the map with a dynamic front and about capturing enemy airports by destroying objects, e.g. stationary planes, enemy artillery, hangars, etc.

I remember this server and the map, it was supposed to work similarly to the Warbirds server, but not the same.

It is either historical or dynamic By this moment I'm aware of only two historical online campaigns, but both are going in BoX.
Maybe I expressed myself badly, I meant the shifting "dynamic" front line

I created maps mainly for air fights for two sides "DogFight for the old Il-2 Sturmovik :1946, v4.12.2m+HsFX 7.0.3.Mapping in CLOD-Blitz is a bit different and not easy.

Well, maybe, partially. But in my group (it is currently 10 squadrons and almost 150 active pilots) he had a poll in 2023. At that time only 113 members participated. In general a lot of them were interested in Cliffs of Dover - Battle of Britain campaign (100+) and VR was not essential (80+). But when we organized a CloD event this year only about 20 members participated. A lot of member mostly responded something like "No VR, I'm not flying that...". Just one year and VR is a reason for about 80% of group do not want fly CloD.

Well, that is what TWC Tobruk campaign looks like. It has to start soon, but I do not know when exactly. TWC_Fatal_Error mentioned it in FTC discord server about a month ago.

I made mission for both. 1946 and CloD Full Mission Builders are very similar. CloD FMB provide more features, but it is not harder than 1946 FMB. Airfields layout creation is probably the biggest difference. But in 90% case you do not need custom airfield layout and the one "baked" in the map is enough (especially for Single Player missions).

That's news I'm going to be keeping a very close eye on!
Unfortunately I wasn't able to take part in your last event on the dynamo operation, but the feedback I've had has been so good that I hope to be able to join a campaign organised by the FTC.

In advance, thank you for the time you spend building all this.

Yeah, that is an old 1C games forum transferred to Fulqrum. There are a tons of useful info about dedicated server and mission building.

    Check this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aY_...usp=drive_link
Might help, to start your own Dogfight dedicated server. I think newer version of ATAG Watchdog is available somewhere here on ATAG forum.
Oh, shit, I just noticed I forgot complete translation of "Instructions.pdf" to English. Google Translate should help you with that: https://translate.google.com/?sl=ru&tl=en&op=docs

Here is my collection of CloD documents: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ei6...usp=drive_link
A lot info was taken from that forum.
