    Writing messages to info box

    Is it possible to write to any message boxes other than gpLogServer or console? e.g. gpLogVoice

    Re: Writing messages to info box

    I highly doubt that....
    But in original campaigns (in <steam library>\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\parts\bob\mission\campaign\) you can find code like this:
    Code:
    airc1.SayToGroup(airc1.AirGroup(), "There_they_are_men_Gunsights_on_safeties_off");
    I never tested it. Should play sound file with same name located somewhere, but I think if sound file did not found you still should see text message.

    Also top yellow text line always available.
    GamePlay.gpHUDLogCenter("MISSION COMPLETE");

    Finally got a chance to test this. It doesn't work for custom messages because it's not only limited to the phrase having a sound .ogg file, but it's also tied to the phrase text itself. There will be a list of phrases in the source code somewhere. If the text is not in the list, there is no display.

    Well, that make sense do to text have to be take from dictionary, taking in to account UI language... But there was a hope it could display just "There_they_are_men_Gunsights_on_safeties_off" .

    Re: Writing messages to info box

    It will indeed display "There_they_are_men_Gunsights_on_safeties_off" and play the sound file. Same for any other phrase for which there is an .ogg file (and therefore the text is coded in the dictionary).

    What you can't do is use your own phrase e.g. "my_new_phrase". Even if you create an .ogg file with this name, it does not play the file and there is no text displayed.

    Regards
