Help with AIChief

Could someone explain the functions and properties of AIChiefs please? Search came up with very little.

e.g. from mis file:

AIChief_0 2 261651 147963/script airport.cpp/r 1500

I understand the make-up of this line and how to add them in FMB, but that's it. What are they for? Is it possible to see airport.cpp file (presumably a script)? There are others - ground & AA etc.

Attached is a pdf extract of documentation I have been putting together on the FMB. It's very much a work in progress. The extract discusses the AI Actor and provides a tutorial on how to get searchlights working, which do require the AI Actors.

Hope it points you in the right direction.

Feel free to post questions here if you are looking to try something specific. I’ll share anything I know… and probably get a couple of things wrong… sad face. The nature of this sim… but we persevere. There are a number of people who also have knowledge which would be good to concentrate in a thread.

I am working with an old mission that has airport objects. Makes sense what they are for now. I'm going to experiment with the vehicles when I get a chance.

When you get to vehicles reach out. Pathfinding is a whole sub-genre itself!
