    Snapper in The Fly Zone

I figured this is the best place to post this, since The Fly Zone simulator uses the DCS sim. My Youtube description:

Trying out the flight simulator in The Fly Zone at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum near Hamilton, Ontario.

In this video clip I’m flying a P51 Mustang using a Virtual Reality 3D headset and sitting in a YAW full motion chair (that moves around in correlation with the joystick!). You can see what I’m seeing on the TV screen in front of me, except I’m seeing it in three dimensions!!!

How was it? A blast!!! A ton of fun! The graphics are awesome and beautiful. I even spent time earlier just exploring the hilly terrain, then got back to shooting stuff up with machine guns and rockets!!!

The hour I had booked flashed by, and I was ready for a break - it was pretty intense! Kudos to my copilot, Sebastian, for his patient assistance and good humour throughout!

I’d recommend The Fly Zone to anyone!

They must’ve listened to you and Oskar last year - they now have rudder pedals!

In the video you can see VeRA parked down below, one of only two currently flying Lancasters in the world. In fact, VeRA is actually flying today as I type this; this will be its last flight this year. They’ve got a beautiful day for it - sunny, no clouds, temps in the mid-20’s C.

My “copilot”, Sebastian, was quite enthusiastic about a Lancaster being modelled in Cliffs that could possibly be adapted to their flight simulator. Imagine having customers to The Fly Zone flying VeRA virtually in 3D!!! I’m sure Major Setback could be bribed to make a VeRA skin for this!!!!

That looks amazing! It looked like you were enjoying it (great to put a face to the voice as well )

I wonder if the assistant noted that you were an experienced pilot.

Near where I live (Stoke-on-Trent, UK) they have a Spitfire sim in the City Museum, because the Spitfire designer, Reginald Mitchell, was from the city so there are pubs, streets etc named after him. I've never got a chance to get in the sim, but this has inspired me to give it a go!

The bribe needs consist of nothing more than an in-game model of the Lancaster.
