I've looked everywhere even on asisbiz and I can't find any Cliffs 109 F "European" theater skins. There were some nice North Africa ones over on the old IL-2 forum. Also why are E skins uploaded to asisbiz but never F skins?![]()

Asisbiz is run privately. The owner used to post on the forums, but that was a few years ago. I believe the owner of the site uploaded all of the skins and photos himself; they aren't uploaded by others.
There are some Bf109f skins in this forum's download section.

There are some skins in the game ( Molders for example), so the skin folders shouldn't be totally empty. And think that there were some 109f skins included in the Tobruk release that were made by Larry69.
Yes, you are correct. I only made a few European skins for the Bf109f as the last release focused on North Africa. I made a lot of European skins for some other aircraft, for example the Dewoitine, but that was partly because that particilar plane was unique to this sim, and partly due to my own personal interest in those attractive camouflage patterns. Also, hundreds of skins were included in Tobruk, and I dont have unlimited time and energy. There will be a limit.
There is a template in the download section, so anyone can create their own skin. Actually I was expecting users to take advantage of this and make many skins. This hasn't been the case.

There are some skin tutorials in the game. They can be accessed via the game menu, or found in the main game folder.
Note: the European skins may be in a differently named skin folder.

Thanks major setback. I remember those

Mini- update:
Those Bf109f skins in the download section have a new and different type of mottling which is darker than any of the default Bf109f skins. They are mch darker, with heavier mottle. This is the skin that will be used on the Bf109G.
( The Liesendahl, Hahn, Puchinger one).

I know about asisbis being privately run I actually sent him two pilot pics that he put up, one of Heinrich Bartels and one of Marseille. What I think is odd is there's lots of Cliffs 109 E skins posted but not one F skin. Custom skinners just don't seem to be making them anymore because of Cliffs small player base I guess. Another reason may be because in 1941-42 there were only a few squads in France during this time period I can think of JG 2 and JG 26 and France is hardly ever mentioned in online media all the focus seems to be on Russia and North Africa. There was no back and forth fighting across lines and any shooting down of any bombers would be two engine British types in smaller raids. I think generally things were much calmer than North Afrika or Russia so less interest. You still have awesome looking skins though as in the 9.JG 2 mosquito 109 F![]()
