I would pay once per year (even a full title fee [30 pounds]) for each release of new content , provided that when it is first released the base game engine is as good as CloD will be once patched up.
That is a sweet idea Philstyle - I'd buy into that like a ferret up a trouser leg.

On a good day you can still hear the rumble of the Merlin flying overhead.

So, I see a lot of comments about "so and so" not liking "whojimmy" and some sort of acrimonious split in the CloD's history. Is there any links out there that I can read up about it?

    Hardly surprising.

A thread about war thunder was closed because "too much talk about competition is not allowed" even though most of the comments about WT were negative.

Sorry - this whole thing wasn't supposed to be public yet. A single misclick on my part set in motion a chain of events of such epic proportions, who could have ever guessed. And well, here we are.

I've been posting on a Russian forum a bunch last night since that's where the leak came out. Figured I owe it to you guys to actually post everything in English.

Here's what I talked about in Russian yesterday:

    1. There's a new project in development between RRG Studios (my company) and Eagle Dynamics.
    2. We're making a new WWII flight sim.
    3. The general approach in the new sim is the same as in DCS: P-51.
    4. Cockpit workload, cabin systems, levers-buttons-gears, reliance on actual historical manuals, and the flight model, will be the same as in DCS: P-51.
    5. Modeling of various secondary internal systems, such as modeling the pressure inside each bend in the hydraulics, will be somewhat simplified.
    6. The landscape in the new project will be based on EDGE.
    7. The theater, planeset, screenshots, videos, etc - will come in due time.

    And here's some new information:

    1. Myself and a bunch of ED guys are flying in nice tight formation to the Flying Legends airshow tomorrow. We'll go TSA on the vintage warbirds there. There'll be lots of videos and photos.
    2. The official project announcement, alongside screenshots, videos, schedules, and the most detailed feature description you've ever seen on any flight sim ever, will come no earlier and no later than September 1st, 2013. The date is very important for the project. We cannot miss it. Be there.

Other than that, I won't be revealing any more details until Sept 1st.

I'll hang around here for a few more hours, and then I'm off to Flying Legends until Tuesday.

WOW Oersted!! Have a great time at Duxford, fly safe and hope you meet some of the ATAG delegates. You might have to pour gallons of coffee into them for intelligent conversation BTW, that little "mis-click" of yours gave the flight sim community a big shot of hope. Sounds like a win-win between ED and RRG - great simbiotic potential

That's what I get for checking this thread too early in the morning. Here I thought Oersted was an RRG guy in disguise. My apologies to everyone who's time got wasted on this.

    Sheesh.
Not surprising. J arrogant attitude, fake smile and moneythirsty paranoic person deletes everything which he sees as threat. He now sells RO* for popocorns just to collect last coins for BOS which he hopes will fill his pockets. And he was fakesmiling next to Luthier.

Ohh how I wish Luthier will make something which will burry 77* along with they arrogancy.

Im sorry guys. Its how it is. The truth.

Re: The new simulator from the exMG?

This new project is great news, I am glad that DCS is getting more WWII related content and I can't wait to see what they are going to bring to the table.

Sadly, it seems this thread is already turning into a BoS/777/Jason Williams bash thread, I suppose my perspective on it all is different from some others here and that is fine but don't we already have one BoS bash thread? (heck, it's own subforum)

I know that I am a minority here, I am not telling you all how to feel, I just don't get why any flight simmer would wish any flight sim ill considering how few we have to choose from and how small the market is.

Anyway, I think it is going to be a good time to fly WWII combat sims, both BoS and the DCS WWII stuff will be very welcome indeed.

Tvrdi: These are your opinions, not the opinions of Team Fusion.

We have mentioned a couple times this is not the place to engage in Jason/777 bashing.

    So please don't continue.

Team Fusion is not in competition with anyone else, not in a war with any other Simulation.

As others have said, Flight Simming is a genre which has few choices, so there is room for many new creations.

So please, keep your personal attacks out of these forums.

We at Team Fusion wish the best to the Ilya and his new Sim, and also to the developers of BATTLE OF STALINGRAD.

    Cheers Buzzsaw

Re: The new simulator from the exMG?

If memory serves, Blacksix and Jason both have already sent good luck messages for the new project. Can't we take this at face value and bury the crap? Sheeesh .. since the troll wars in IL 2 - 46 era the combat sim community has been a real puzzler: knowledgable to the point of brilliance and at the same time irrationally disfunctional.

Yeah I know I'm guilty too but it's still a puzzler.

Serves me right for going to sleep. I've woken up to really great news.

I make that D-51Days and counting down to the announcement. (it's the 13th where I am)

(Hmmm! I wonder how the Iroquois will fit into a '39-45 scenario? )

All the best to the new team!

Buzz, ofcourse, its my own opinion. Never said its team fusion opinion. Its not a personal attack tbh. Just a honest opinion. The fact is that the thread about new luthier game was locked pretty fast (on BOS forum) without valid reason. I know many thinks the same but are afraid to post it in public which is somehow shame since wer not into CIA....its all about gaming and business decisions (and relations to fans and ex colleagues). Though, I understand it is disturbing for some of the team fusion members (various reasons) so I wont post anything simmilar in the future becasue I dont want to make anyone from the team feel insulted or whataver....Its my sole opinion and wasnt intended to be bash or insult.

Re: The new simulator from the exMG?

no matter how much I would love a new apparition of a new WWII sim, I don't think this will be it. I'm sorry, but everything Ilya did until now went crashing head first right into the ground, so I can't see this new one going anywhere else, unfortunately.. I still wish him good luck, though

I wish the dev's well with the kickstarter funding & the project development. It still puzzles me though, that they continue to ignore the wealth of talent in the flight sim community that would provide their services for free. Surely there is a way to harness their skills to further develop game content & features that would further advance such sim-projects.

I believe he stated something about this early on, so if anyone were interested they should contact Luthier...
