A little ATAG initiative for DCS WWII

    Hi folks,

Ilya, Oleg and team need our help for their kick starter. For anyone that has remembered all the 1000's of hours of entertainment IL2 has given you, these guys deserve our support. They literally wrote the book on combat sims. Now that they have partnered with the team at Eagle Dynamics to make a WWII sim with the fidelity of DCS P51, this is like a dream come true.

But this dream won't happen unless people support it. One of the best things about a kickstarter is if the goal isn't reached, you are not out your pledged support. You literally have NOTHING to lose other than a chance to finally have a WWII flight sim that has the fidelity and accuracy that DCS gives. In my opinion, this should be a no brainer.

So with that said, I've decided to spice up the pot a bit to get some of you on the fence, getting your wallets out to help. There has only been a little over 500 pledges thus far. That doesn't cut the mustard.

I'm willing to hand out a set of MFG Crosswind rudder pedals if we can get 1000 confirmed pledges of $40 or more from this forum. These are arguably the best rudder pedals money can buy.

    Here's a nice review by T}{OR:

    See here: http://www.mfg.simundza.com/mfgcrosswind.php

UPDATE: Milan MFG, the maker of the Crosswind pedals has just contacted me. To spice things up even further, the winning set of pedals will be personally engraved to whatever name the winner so desires (Your name, your squad name, etc.) So these truly will be a very special set of pedals. Thanks Milan!

    How this will work:

1.) Each post in this thread shares a screen shot verifying their pledge amount. (No I do not need your name or personal info) Only if we get 1000 people, and only if you are the lucky random chosen winner, do we need your info to drop ship them to your door.

2.) Each post in this thread is only to show a screen shot of your pledged support. This is not a discussion thread, so all discussions not relevant to the topic (showing your screens) will be deleted.

3.) If the post count in this thread reaches 1001 (I'm not including myself in the drawing) a number will be randomly selected via the number next to your post count (example: numbers 2 - 1001) and that will determine who wins the pedals.

4.) Once we get 1000 confirmed pledges, the drawing for the pedals will happen.

5.) This is not a joke

6.) Get your wallets out and give $40 or above and support your hobby.

Now get to the kickstarter and open your wallets! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...ii-europe-1944

Here's my screen shot to start this off:

Thanks Bliss, you gave me the incentive to pledge another hundred. You can take me out of the draw however, and give my chance to someone else.

    What a great idea!

Thank you Bliss, for your initiative and dedication to the community. You already go above and beyond the call of duty, but this is something special. Without you and people like you our community would be a sad place indeed.

    MyBackerHistory SkoshiTiger.png

There are my details for making up numbers and showing support but as I already have a set of rudder pedals I'll take my name out of the list for the draw.

    Thank you again!

A new member (nothing like a giveaway to incite some new registrations ).
Thank you Bliss for this opportunity, and this great idea for a pledge drive. DCS WW2 really deserves to be funded.

Here's my pledge. I intend to raise it at the end of the month...

    EDIT:
I've changed my pledge to $80 level (with Dora for DCS:World and Alpha access). Please ignore the 'attached thumbnails' - I can't figure out how to delete previous attachments.
The correct pic is put in the text here:

    Very good idea here!

Also willing to raise the pledge, if the kickstarter project is running into trouble at the end of the pledge period!

I'm in - hope to pledge more before the end as well especially if close

    Great move Bliss

To the other contributors - you guys rock! Keep it rolling!!!

If people could just get other squadron members to contribute, this goal can be reached!
