I'm having a problem with the TF compatible version of this mission pack. Quite a few of the missions are taking place at 1830 hours, which is pitch-black night. Is this accurate for these missions?

Many thanks! All properly installed ( I presume ) and up & working(really!) Delighted to be able to play this in career mode.Hopefully some day we will have a proper Malta but for now this is a very nice change of scene!

I am scratching my head over this small glitch in the campaigns..maybe someone can help.I've had the Malta version up & running for a year,flying single missions over the faux Malta & enjoying the change of scene.Recently I downloaded & installed the Redeux British & German campaigns. I think I did everything right ( but one never knows.) Everything went well,until load,when I got a missing map for both the British & then the German campaigns.I had thought since I was already flying over this area in the Single missions I didn't have to add a new map. Did I miss something? Thanks!

The redux raf and luftwaffe campaigns just use the stock map.

Not sure why that might be.

Which version of Malta mod were you flying - the one with desert textures (sand) or the autumn TF mod map?

If you were flying the desert textures mod and didn't create a separate game (recommended) to mod it on, then that would explain why your stock map is missing.

You would need to reinstall CoD as a default, stock game in a separate part of your HD and then apply the TF mod and redux campaigns to that.

But if you just applied the TF Mod version of the Malta campaigns then there should be no missing map...

Hello, I am new to this forum and also to the Game. I'm a old lover of Regia Aeronautica and WWII games, willing to download the Malta Mod.
Well, I have been asked to post at least one message to be able donwloading, so..that's it!

I have been able to find and download the install for the basic map or the big package of installs for Malta.Help!

I installed this as per the mod instructions, copied my il2 folder onto a separate drive and installed malta mod etc...Now it looks like it caused steam to bork my main il2 installation .

Looks like the TF patches are no longer applied to the main installation and my joystick set up is gone (presumably confuser.ini)

three questions:

Any idea why steam would decide to do this? Presumably something to do with the final steps of the malta mission pack installation?
How do I check what version il2 I'm running? splash screen claims its version 1.11
Which location does the steam version of il2 read its joystick settings from?

The TF mod version is in the downloads section so I guess you mean the non-TF mod version with the desert tiles?

Shoot...where did I save that?! They say the internet never forgets, so it must be out there somewhere!! Will look.

Hate to be a party poop but in my opinion...just my opinion again...I'm afraid a Malta map would just be popular for a week or two and then nothing because of the long trip to a tiny place. Same thing over and over again? Include it in a much bigger map.

Malta sounds great at first but in reality it's basically the BoB all over again on a much smaller scale.
That said, I still hope that we are going to see a map of it at some point. We could have Sicily on the same map which would lend itself for several scenarios including the bombing campaign against Malta in 1941/42 as well as the allied invasion of Sicily in 1943.

This would be a map of roughly the same size as that of the Channel.

I think that link is mo longer operative BUT I have saved a "Mission " Folder from long ago and found these campaigns there-Lucky me! I have always found that both sides of the Malta campaign some of the best third partyadditions.I was sorry to lose them buy happy to find they still work with latest version(s) of CloD!
